Chapter 11
- Desiree wants to go inside the grounds of the hotel so that she can see Daniel.
- so she cleans herself up, puts on her blue dress and wears her shoes.
- now she is very pretty and the guards let her through without question.
- she stays there for a few nights and wants to see Daniel but is afraid that if she is caught that she will be thrown out of the hotel grounds.
- then one night she finally sees Daniel and he speaks to her in Creole because she does not understand French.
- he recognizes her from somewhere but does not remeber the time that she takes care of him. He is very weak and she helps him back to bed and lays there with him the whole night.
